Exploring OUTC17: Workshops
by Kayla Solis on February 21, 2017
The 2017 OmniUpdate User Training Conference (OUTC17) is just around the corner and we can’t wait to see all the amazing presentations from our customers and staff. But we are equally excited about our hands-on training workshops taught by our very own OU Campus pros. There are tons of workshops to choose from, so if you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t worry! We’ve set up tracks to follow based on your experience level. There’s no need to stick to one though, so feel free to explore the possibilities within each track.
Administrator: Beginner | For the end-user who wants to learn basic administrator skills
If you are looking for a basic OU Campus end-user or administrator introduction (or refresher), this track is for you. Learn the ins and outs of updating content, editing and publishing pages, creating new pages, and much more. This track also includes an introduction to access and workflow, as well as tags and RSS.
Administrator: Advanced | For the skilled administrator who is familiar with OU Campus, but wants to learn more
If you have a little more experience under your belt, attend the workshops in the Administrator: Advanced track. You will dive into new page templates, accessibility standards, and customizing editable regions.
Developer: Beginner | For the experienced developer who wants to dive into XSL
This track is all about XSL. Learn the basic concepts of XML and XSL through hands-on experience building XML and XSL templates.
Developer: Advanced | For the advanced developer who wants to experience the maximum capabilities of OU Campus
Attend the workshops in this track if you are a seasoned developer and have lots of experience in OU Campus. You’ll learn about gadgets, tags, and how to transform WYSIWYG content into HTML.
Whichever track you choose, you’ll return to your institution armed with new knowledge to take your OU Campus experience to the next level.
